A Momentous Occasion

The ceremonial groundbreaking, held on October 11, 2023, witnessed the convergence of luminaries in the realm of hotel development, Members of Parliament, distinguished business leaders, members of the Real Estate community, and esteemed guests. This inaugural event marked the formal commencement of construction on the Andaz’s 5.5-acre site, nestled on the western beaches of Grace Bay.

The Andaz Turks & Caicos will open its doors to residents and guests in late 2025. Developers Jon Siegel and Matt McDonald, exuding enthusiasm, conveyed that the completed hotel will bestow an unparalleled fusion of breathtaking locale, locally inspired design, and world-class resort amenities.

McDonald extended heartfelt gratitude to the government of the Turks and Caicos Islands, specifically the Department of Physical Planning, for their instrumental role in bringing this vision to life.

As the first Andaz-branded property in the Caribbean, it complements Hyatt's portfolio of over 30 properties worldwide.

Home Affairs Minister, Hon Otis Morris, underlined the groundbreaking as a monumental stride for the TCI. He emphasized that the Hyatt brand's legacy of luxury and comfort will not only elevate the territory's hospitality but also generate opportunities for the local community.
